As the country begins to slowly come alive, we are delighted here at The Oxford Artisan Distillery to be once again opening our doors. We will be opening for tours and for visiting the shop on Saturday 4th July and our outdoor drinking area from Friday 10th July. Of course things are going to be a little different but we know that what we all love about our Distillery will continue – friendly, knowledgeable staff, a fun, relaxed atmosphere and, of course, great tasting spirits.
Throughout lockdown we have prioritised the safety of our team above all else by following the latest UK government advice and best practices. Now, finally (we’re sure we’re not the only ones looking forward to a visit to a bar!), we are reopening and taking every measure to keep you, and us, safe.
We will be running our Distillery tours from Saturday 4th July, initially for limited numbers of people and with two tours per day. We will allow a maximum of 8 guests per tour, booked in groups of 2. If you'd like to book single or larger places please email email@example.com or call us on 01865 767918.
If you have a ticket for a postponed tour and would like to rebook, or would like to book a new ticket, please contact us via email [firstname.lastname@example.org].
Tours will run each Saturday at 11am and 1pm, with more slots opening over time. We will keep this page updated as this develops. Once we understand the lay of the land we will reintroduce Friday evening and Sunday afternoon tours.
We take cleanliness at the distillery very seriously and can assure you that newly introduced procedures and cleaning processes are designed to ensure both visitor and staff safety.
Please do not hesitate to email or call us if you have any questions about a pre-booked tour or a new booking. We can’t wait to get started.
Please note we have suspended our minibus pickup for July and will reintroduce this service when we feel it is safe to do so.
Our Distillery shop will be open from Saturday 4th July for walk in customers and for click and collect orders. We will expand our opening hours over the next few weeks. We offer our full range of spirits including special editions and a range of local craft beer.
You will be asked to sanitise your hands on entry and not touch any of the display stock. Payment will be by credit card only.
Fridays 4-9pm, Saturdays 4-9pm and Sundays 2-7pm.
From Friday 10th July we will be opening the gates to our open-air bar where we aim to be one of the safest places to have an open-air drink in Oxfordshire. Our new outdoor garden seats a maximum of 56 people and is located at the top of South Park in the grounds of our Distillery.
All tables are socially distanced (2m or more) and can seat from 4 to 10 people. Tables are available via pre-booking only (please click here to book) and entry will only be allowed if you have a pre-booked table. All orders will be via a table service app.
We have two outdoor toilets that will be cleaned every two hours. Our staff wear face screens when serving. Drinks are served in biodegradable cups and hand sanitiser is always available.
We offer a menu of our wonderful spirits and local craft beer.
We will continue to deliver your favourite spirits to your doorstep for free across the UK mainland. Your purchase will always arrive within three to four working days, but usually within two.
If you live locally you may find that we deliver your order personally. Orders purchased on our website will be left on your doorstep, adhering strictly to social distancing guidelines. We ask you to stay at least 2 metres away from our delivery driver.
The Oxford Artisan Distillery continues to make hand sanitiser for Oxfordshire care homes, hospitals and the local community. We distribute sanitiser for free to individuals in need, distribute at cost to local charitable organisations and for a small fee to commercial organisations. As a small local distillery we are limited in how much we can do but with your support we can do more - please visit our gofundme page to find out more.
Our hand rub gel (sanitiser) follows the World Health Organisation’s recommended formulation of alcohol. All donations will be used to produce more hand sanitiser for those who need it most during the COVID-19 outbreak.
If you are a local organisation in need, please email email@example.com.
Thank you for all your support throughout these tricky times - we have been honoured by your support and for being part of this community.
And most importantly, we ‘re delighted to be welcoming you back.
