Last Thursday we spent an excellent evening at Milroy’s of Spitalfields surrounded by bottles of Oxford Rye Whisky, tasting glasses and like-minded whisky geeks.
Our Head of Grain John Letts and Head of Whisky Charlie Echlin gave a tasting at the top of Milroy’s while the folk downstairs sipped on Oxford Rye Whisky highballs made by the Milroys’ team especially for the night. It was a pleasure to have John there to answer, in depth, the many questions about what makes us different – our farming, the environmental impact of farming and how heritage grains produce such amazing flavour. We tasted five whiskies - four Oxford Rye Whiskies and our Grain Stories Heritage Corn Whisky - including our latest Oxford Rye releases, Easy Ryder and Purple Grain (both of which went down a treat with our guests).
